A foundation born in Atlántico for its children
The Fundación Educativa El Edén de los Niños (FEENIS) is a non-profit organization that has supported children and families in the Costa Hermosa neighborhood and across Atlántico, Colombia, since 2012.
Our story
On April 11, 2012, a dream called Fundación Educativa El Edén de los Niños was born. It started with a simple idea: that the children of our community would have a safe place to learn, eat well and feel loved.
Since then we have supported more than 500 children at our Costa Hermosa site. These have been years of laughter, learning, lunches cooked with care and heartfelt hugs, which have left their mark on the children and on every family that is part of this big family.
Over time we understood that transforming a child’s life also means supporting their home. That is why, in addition to education, we help parents and caregivers start micro-businesses and grow the family economy.
Mission and vision
Mission
We are a non-profit organization working for social development, with actions that benefit not only children but the whole community. We strive to improve people’s quality of life through effective and highly reliable strategies, with staff trained in creating micro-businesses that bring about a complete change in the family context.
Vision
By 2030, with the help of Almighty God, we aim to be a leading, certified and recognized organization in carrying out social projects nationally and internationally: a high-quality educational foundation that also helps the children’s parents and their whole community generate income, and that provides education with skill, quality, excellence and experience.

How we work
A registered non-profit
FEENIS is a foundation legally registered in Colombia under Tax ID (NIT) 900.515.162-0. Everything we receive goes to our programs for children and families.
How donations are used
Donations fund the children’s classes and support, the breakfasts and lunches served at our site, activities with families and improvements to the space where they learn.
Secure donations
You can donate on our donation page through Mercado Pago, which processes the payment by PSE (Colombian bank transfer) or by credit or debit card over a secure connection. You can also contact us if you would rather give in kind or in another way.
We share what we do
We publish our activities, with photos and videos, in Notifeenis (in Spanish). If you need documentation about the foundation for a partnership, an agreement or a donation, contact us and we will send it.
